Privacy Policy

Bead Board is designed to keep your data with you. The app has no user accounts and no backend server: your designs are stored locally on your device. The only data that ever leaves the app is anonymous, product-usage analytics — and only if you explicitly opt in.
1. Who we are
Bead Board ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS application for iPad and iPhone for planning beadwork designs. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. For any privacy question, contact katerina.mnuk@gmail.com.
2. Data stored on your device
Your designs, color palettes, collections, and app settings are saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard on-device storage. This information:
- stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or any server;
- is not linked to any account, name, or email address;
- may be included in your device's encrypted backups (for example iCloud or iTunes/Finder backups) according to your own device settings, which are governed by Apple's terms, not ours;
- is removed when you delete the app from your device.
3. Analytics (optional and opt-in)
To understand how the app is used and to improve it, Bead Board can collect anonymous product analytics. This is strictly opt-in: nothing is collected or sent until you grant consent, and you can change your choice at any time in the app's Settings.
When analytics are enabled:
- We record anonymous, aggregate usage events — for example that the app was opened, a design was created or saved, or a particular feature was used.
- Events are not tied to your identity. We do not collect your name, email address, or precise location, and we do not collect the contents of your designs.
- Analytics are provided by PostHog and processed on EU-hosted infrastructure.
- If you decline, or have not yet decided, no analytics events are sent.
Because the app collects only first-party, anonymous usage data and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, it does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
4. What we do not do
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information.
- We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- We do not collect the contents of your beadwork designs.
5. Third-party services
When analytics are enabled, anonymous usage data is processed by PostHog as our analytics provider. PostHog acts on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy and data-processing terms. The app is distributed through Apple's App Store; your interactions with the App Store itself are governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. Your choices and rights
- Analytics consent: turn anonymous analytics on or off at any time in the app's Settings.
- Your designs: you can delete any design from within the app, and uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over personal data. Since the analytics we collect are anonymous and not linked to your identity, we may be unable to identify data relating specifically to you; please contact us with any request and we will help where we can.
7. Children's privacy
Bead Board is intended for a general audience of bead crafters and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
